Support Anne Frank Tree Foundation
The Anne Frank tree is in danger of being cut. The Borough and the Anne Frank Foundation are in favour of felling it.
This coalition is opposed by the Dutch Tree Foundation (Bomenstichting) and an active group of local residents, experts and supporters, who are fighting for the tree’s conservation and do their utmost to prevent that it is prematurely and unnecessarily cut. This struggle for the tree’s preservation takes a lot of time, attention and money.
To make this struggle effective and to make sure that the tree is properly cared for in future, we have created the “Support Anne Frank Tree Foundation”. This Foundation intends to take care of, and bear responsibility for, the chestnut tree.
The Foundation’s Objective
The Support Anne Frank Tree Foundation aims:
- to prevent the tree from being prematurely and needlessly cut;
- to guarantee proper care for the preserved tree in future.
